Course Description
This course provides a structured review of construction surveying fundamentals for licensed professionals who work in or alongside the construction industry. The material covers the core competencies a surveyor must command when supporting active construction operations, from initial project control setup through final as-built documentation. It addresses both the technical methods and the professional judgment required to perform this work accurately and efficiently. Construction surveying demands a combination of precision, field adaptability, and clear communication with contractors and project teams. Errors in staking can translate directly into costly rework, schedule delays, or structural deficiencies. A thorough understanding of the methods covered in this course equips the licensed professional to manage that risk and deliver reliable survey support throughout the construction process. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will earn one professional development hour (PDH).
